- This image was taken at the exit to the BTS at Central World, I chose it because of the curvature which seems to be “compressing” down toward the people, which suggests the idea of “engagement” for me. also, the opening on the roof draw my eyes up to see the sky as it has a subtle pulling force which agian, to me, represents engagement. I reduced the colors in the order to make the image less distracting.
This was my favorite image and it was taken at Central World while there was a renovation. At first, it looks quite uninteresting with all of the construction gears lying around, but I noticed that the draped that they used to cover the material form the dust has quite interesting foldings and creases, so I took some photos. I finally chose it because I like the softness and the organic lines of the fabric which go against the conformity of the grid on the large window. They represent a man and a women for me. I also like the lines on the window which has a dynamic of pulling us inward, into their love scene. I like this picture so much that after some altering on photoshop, I decided to submit the original image instead as I think that it represent the reality of the moment the best.
-I took this image at Paragon, an it is a column in the hall area. I thought that it would be fun to explore the possibility of angles, My initial intention was to capture the tight contact between the rigid column and the opening of the ceiling which express the idea of intimacy for me, however, when the image was taken, the light in the ceiling was bright so the outcome was a little too suggestive of being erotic. At the end, it was interesting to see people’s reaction, it brought out "that thought" which is embedded in our human nature yet, labelled by society to be “inappropriate”.
- This photo was taken on the railing of a crossing bridge on Lumphini-Satorn road, at first I didn’t think it would make a good photo, yet I took one anyway because of the interesting inter-twining bars which got damaged by a car accident. When I got home, I looked at the picture and decided to choose it. Eroticism for me is almost “unintentional” - in this case to the point of being “accidental”. The inter-twining steel bars also express the “intimacy” of elements. I reduced the color of the photograph to make the bright pink taxi in the background less distracting.
