Existing Condition: the walkway above (entrance to room 408) makes the ceiling for the path below, and it is quite low.

Idea Sketches

My first rough sketch

My first idea is to close up the space, making it into a dark room, to cut out the sense of vision.  Then, set a point light nearby, the screen will make it looks far away, thus perceiving the sense of distance.

I decided to add more lights to stimulate movement, rather than just a single, unmoving point light.  I looked at various types and ended up choosing meteor light, which could move in rhythm.

At this point I also add the concept of afterimage.  I experimented to see whether having a screen would reduce the afterimage or not, and tried installing at home.
