My research is the shophouse, private and public space with people being seen by the outside people and the space share between the owner and the visitors.

The bed is there for people to sleep on to roll over to the tree area.

- feeling sudden private and feel comfort to sleep on the bed .

- threshold of getting into, entering another space.

-built environment , force to look up to see the trees, normally just walk pass and don't care, but with the fabric wall, force the eyes to look up .

Site : Court yard

                  When entering the courtyard, normally you will be expecting to see a few trees in the middle of the court, and a smell of cigarette, some picnic table and a statue. The place tells you that this space is a public space, which is for everyone to do anything as they want, but as the installation will be install. They will notice a big square room in the middle of the court that doesn’t look familiar to what normally is. As they enter the space, they will be tell to walk according to the path that is provided. As they walk they will realize a cabinet and some cloth on the cabinet with dim light, further more they will see a bed, which they don’t normally see in the faculty because the faculty is a public place and the bed, bedroom, is a private room which only appear in a home. The space that they are walking in is the bedroom. After they pass the bed, there will be another opening which act like a threshold telling the way into another atmosphere, the tree, which there is no rooftop covering unlike the bedroom area, which is all close. This allows the light from outside to enter the space. By doing this, it’s erotic sense of surprising. Erotic because of not expecting, it create a different emotion to the people who enter the space.

Sherry's research on, Marina Abramović, James Turrell, and Nils Nova

  Rirkrit Tiravanija

" Untitled (free / still) "

Rirkrit has made a model of like a model of his apartment in the gallery which normally for most gallery people only visit the galley to see paintings, photographs, or sculpture. In the case of Rirkrit, he has put in like a food restaurant inside the gallery which is not normal. He has uses the 5 senses to call in people. For the first, he used the smell of the food and the sound of people who is eating at his area. Normally for gallery there are no sound because silent is needed for audience to concentrate on art work and no smell because food is not allow. Also, he model his apartment into this public space, food is serve 24 hrs. for all people and bed are also provided. For the sense of sight, Rirkrit has made it different too. He didn't just install a painting on the wall but he put in furnitures that can be use to sit and eat, dinning, and also wood as to create boundaries for his space. The space itself is not only expressing the word as for the food and the installation, but by this installation, people can also react to one another and also to the installation. People can talk to strangers who sit in front of them while eating curry and also react to the space, sitting, sleeping.

Marina Abramović

" Rhythm 0 "

1974

 Marina has made interesting projects. Most of her project is too react to people and let audience react to her as a performer. In Rhythm 0, Marina display 72 object on the table with an instruction on the table telling that the audience can do anything to her with all the objects display on the table which she will take full responsibility. Marina has walked out of her comfort zone, because what she has done at first she wouldn't know what the people will do to her as she has given them full control of her body. Strangely, people do all things to her, stab her, give her things to hold, etc. For Marina, by doing this, she has experience new things in her life, do things which normal people wouldn't do but what also surprise her is the react of the people. She said " when people is given freedom, they would do anything", and that's true. People reaction towards her is also not normal because normally in our everyday life, we can't shoot a person with a gun or stab them and not get into jail, but with this performance, they are ALLOW to do anything.

Nils uses the technic of printing to make like a illusion of space to make complexity to the space. His work is so simple leaving people thinking of the materials that has been used in his work and that of the story behind every photos of his.

Sherry's " THE REACTION "

erotic architecture

 for this first picture, it is taken at the phoomipol bridge at night time. It has given me the feeling of mystery and ongoing thoughts of feeling by the line of the cable that holds the bridge together.

 For this picture, it is taken at the ancient city in samutprakarn, which if you see the picture you may or may not recognise that this statue is a chinese dragon in front of a temple. The stand pole is the tail which this picture very give a clear definition to define what is erotic, because it's so obvious.

 This picture is taken at the gate of bangkok or sao- ching- cha infront of sutep temple. By looking at the picture you can recognize the obvious meaning of erotic but also an on going feeling of what is up there where the two columns are facing up to.

And with this image, taken at ancient city. Actually, this whole thing is a stair walking up to the temple but at side view, it gives me a feeling of "together" with the tail going on and around each other like when the snake is trying to sleep, because of the wave of the tail of the payanak.
