Punch's documentation and post-analysis on "Hidden space"
My installation was located at basketball court. It's 6*4 feet, the strucure was made of wood and the sur face was made from the mirror sticker stick on the card bord. I don't have enough budget for the material (acrylic sheet) so I choose this material. Every side of the surface can reflect the surrounding area to made it emulcification. And at the back of it has opened so people can get into it. Inside the box, there is a mirror sticker on all side of it. So it can reflect many view of yourself to let you see yourself in other point of view
Punch's installation development: "Hidden space"
Firstly, I eant to create the hidden space where people can get in to it in the open space.
So I do some case study by the acrylic to create the space that people can get into it and hide.
I have go to Pat pong, to feel the atmosphere of erotic place to get it into my work. The Food land's carpark at Pat pong was the place that I'm interesting. It's was built in 60's and I can feel many emotion, It was silent, dark and lonely. I try to develop it into my site.
I find the hidden place in the faculty, but it's not quite a open space. afterall I have choose the basketball court that's a really open space.

When the electrical supply is switched
on, the liquid crystal molecules align and incident light passes through
and the LC SmartGlass panel instantly clears.
When the power is switched off the
liquid crystal molecules are randomly oriented scattering light and the
LC SmartGlass becomes opaque (private).
But it's too expensive also as the acrylic. So I choose the mirror sticker that can reflect the object but cheaper.
Punch's research on Mehrdad Naraghi

Mehrdad Naraghi born 1978. Studied engineering at Sharif University but later switched to photography. His approach involves showing the significance of human existence by capturing imagery of places and things which have been impressed upon by human experience: the silent and empty places that seem to have been left behind. He is inspired by painting and strives to exemplify the qualities of light and color in his works which he appreciates in painting.
He exhibits regularly in Tehran and has taken part in many group exhibitions internationally, including Photo Quai (Musée du Quai Branly, Paris), 165 years of Iranian photography (Musée du Quai Branly, Paris) and That Shimmering beast (The Empty Quarter Gallery, Dubai). In addition, his works have been published in magazines and books, including Different Sames: New Perspectives in Iranian Contemporary Art and Connaissance des Arts (No21).
Fog and darkness
In my opion, Erotic is about the hidden emotion, hidden desire which is in everyone and everywhere. His work is about the city at night, when everything is dark. Represent something gloomy and lonely that different from the day. Like the human desire that hidden in our mind.
