It seems like when enter the Leviathan, it seems like it feels bigger and larger than the actual palace, even though it is not bigger. The atmosphere totally changes after entering the Leviathan.

The position of the viewers are not the same for everyone. It is because of the space Rist provided for the viewer, which led viewers to have many kind of positioning there self.
So it also depends on how you want the viewers to see your work. By that, putting a position or gesture for the viewer is a great idea.

It plays with lighting and how lights merge together to create a very appealing space. She places it in many varuis way to create different feeling. Lights play a big role in her space.


Very complete analysis that proves a very clear understanding of the factors that generate the experience, clearly stating the relation of the visitor with the piece. In the case of the piece by Pipilotti RIst there could have been a deeper study that shows the relation of the position of the visitor with the camera angle of the video, because both the furniture and the camera angle can inform the way the spectator positions him/herself.
ReplyDeleteIn the future, when mixing drawings and photographs for analytical works, you should try to relate them clearly and perhaps even hybridise drawings and photographs to correlate the different information that each of them is providing.
