Pichy's documentation and post-analysis on Eve and I

Photographs of the installation

Complete darkness as the soundtrack fills the space.
The first apple is revealed close up.
 The apples then floats away.
As the apple distance, it invites you to follow.
There are three apples actually, put into perspective and revealing one at a time, to create the floating away effect.
The light outside the window represents natural light or enlightenment.
The projection of a tree and a serpent, ties the installation back to the origin of humanity and sin.
Everything is revealed.

Response to the Installation

K's response to the installation was that the soundtrack was really luring, while the second part was definitely annoying and confusing. Which was intended to call back the viewer's conscious or in this case (K's senses). From the recording of his viewing, we could see his face was drawn near at first because of the calm and slow music. His face and eyes turned a bit following the apple appearance. Towards the middle to the end, his eyes and facial expression differentiated and moved simultaneously showing confusion.

Conclusion

Erotic is a state of mind. It can be caused by arousal through senses that gives in to the source of the indulging. Luring is that process of controlling the viewer's senses, dominating the mind, and manipulating the vision to an illustration that could be perhaps, misleading. Victims of eroticism assume rather than analyzes and sees one rather than two sides of the story. In this installation, the environment or ambience is partially controlled. Half is there and half is not there. What is there are matters or mediums that could be interpreted differently by the audience or victim. This installation also offers a first-hand experience in terms of visual and audio representation. The victim will go through a series of erotic stages that lures, confuses, and reveals and experience that oneself will capture along with the two sides of the story. This story traces back to the origin of humanity, birth of man, and the inevitable creation of sin. Relevant to Adam and Eve, the installation provides and abstracted insight on today's society and reflects the terrible reality of human fault caused by eroticism. The selection of objects, mediums, setting, and lighting all serves the purpose of enhancing this simulation and back again to luring our victim both directly and indirectly. Hidden are the twists between these stages. Drawn by the concentrated light, the victim gets a taste of the fresh shiny apples, only to realize later that they are supposedly rotten, moreover revealing a classic truth.
