Observation:
Although I did achieve what I hope for to create an incomprehensible space, I did not do quite well on playing with the afterimage. Since I made the audience exited the space first then describe, it made the time gap between and the installation does not flowed very well. I could have just use the other side of the room as a screen or even just let the audiences close their eyes and draw blind contour.
"Erotic" interpretation
When people hear the word "erotic", they often link it with sexual material. For me erotic is something that awakens strong feelings inside you. It can be love, fright, excitement, curiosity, or anything that makes people react. I believe that 'reaction' is vital because erotic needs interaction. I chose to play with perception because it provokes you with curiosity. It makes you question yourself of what your senses are digesting: "is that really the way it is?" Th concept of afterimage can also be erotic. Afterimages we gained from staring at lights stay with us only just for a while. It is a temporary phenomenon that can rarely repeat itself (you hardly get the same afterimage), therefore, it is like a 'kiss'.
