Jaa's documentation and post-analysis on "feel me"

Guests rarely want to touch him at first.
What I can feel was they were scared and excited.
After awhile guests starting to slightly touch then hug him when
it confirmed that they not getting any dirt.

Personally, I think erotic is result of interaction between two or more things. For example, my previous project, one of photos was an interaction between light and floor of old building which was used for many years, it reflecting shadow and texture of the floor. The picture expressed a passionate of movement. So that why for me, erotic means an interaction between twos.
For installation, I’ve investigated that ordinary emotion of a person is fear. Fear make you aware of something new, in my case, the installation was a painted cable human sculpture, which express dark feeling both by itself and its location. So at the beginning, all my guests were aware of coming close but later on they started to get familiar with the cable statue, they start to FEEL my installation. Subsequently, I realize erotic is not just about dark side of emotion it could be enjoyable.

The End...

  1. As general comment regarding the installation, I think the aspect that generated physical interaction with the piece was its potential to become a photographic spot (photo-call effect). I believe there is potential and, certainly, a very interesting parallelism between monitored spaces and photo-call spaces, since the first ones are usually either unnoticed or avoided, but the second one are spots of momentary attention and voluntary exposure to the cameras. By overlapping the two (a CCTV controlled spot and a Photo-Call) you'd be bringing together voluntary and involuntary exposure to recorded spaces and therefore combining leisure and fear. I think this tension can lead to very interesting spatial configurations and functional performance of the space. You should also consider how and where the moving images that are being captured can be displayed and what would then be the relation to the spot where they were taken.
In terms of documentation, I think you could have been much more systematic, perhaps fixing the position of the camera to make sure that we can perceive the different user interaction with the piece.
Overall, I think you have a lot of really interesting aspects to take forward because it was a very inspiring piece. Good job!
