Pear's research on Ernesto Neto and William Forsythe"

Both artists I chose as inspiration and references share similar ideas of "interaction" and "bounciness"

Ernesto Neto
"Tactility"

His works focus on the use of large scale, soft biomorphic blobs made of thin elastic fabrics where the viewers can interact with them by walking through, touching, smelling (as some of his installations are filled with aroma powders) or even lying on them, they provide experiences where the people’s whole body can feel the organic space.

"Humanoid"

This is where the art wear/cover the users instead of getting worn. These soft armchair-like structures invite the visitors to become part of them, getting to feel the private softness with the whole body.

William Forsythe
"Movement"

A multi-talented artist, he specializes in choreographing and sometimes are commissioned to work with architect artists Dana Caspersen and Joel Ryan and still keep his choreographic talent in his installations.     His installations includes films and interactive space such as choreographic object (projection) and ‘bouncy’ space .

"Scattered Crowd"
This fairy-tale-esque installation is one of his most well-known, consisting of thousand of white balloons accompanied by music, the installation can be altered via viewer’s interaction and watching the space along with the viewers’ “dance” is his main goal to represent the cause and impact of change.

"White Bouncy Castle"
Another interactive space where the visitors do not simply walk on the floor. The visitors get to enjoy interacting with the bouncy floor and wall which result in unique dance moves and an enjoyable sight.
